Waiting to hear back on my unemployment claim...

 Dear Service Canada,

I have been waiting more than six weeks for you to respond to my claim. I have gone into your office every week for the past three weeks, to be told, "Oh, come back next week."

Here's a thought. Hire more people to look at claims. More people with jobs = less claims to answer. Less claims = shorter wait time for poor students.

Two birds, one stone. Sound good? K, thanks.

Posting from work.. V2

I'm at work right now, and there are five boys sitting within 10 feet of me. If I hear the term, "Bonerjamz," one more time, I am going to snap.

I feel worse for the 50 year old lady down the row, though.

Oh Nanny, you are funny.

My Nanny messaged me again on MSN.

   Dorothy    says:
HI  BECCA  its  Nanny  here  WHAT  R  U  DOING
Becca says:
Hi Nanny. I got home from work!
 How are you?
   Dorothy    says:
Becca says:
Ah, I don't think I'll be able to come for a visit today. I am exhausted, and the hockey game is on!
 Are you watching hockey?
   Dorothy    says:
n o  i  do  not  iwatch  the  stupid  game  shows  when  you  have  some  free  time  we  must  get  together  4  something  to  eat
Becca says:
Yeah. I got an email from you the other day! I didn't have time to write back since I was working.
I'll give you a call sometime this week, and maybe we could go for dinner.
   Dorothy    says:
nanny  will  sign  off  &  let  u  watch  the  game  bye

You can't see it now, but this conversation was full of emoticons and smileys.

My Nanny rules.

I'm doing a major overhaul of my room, which will eventually consist of painting and putting in hardwood floor. This means I'm packing a lot of stuff away/tossing stuff out.

I'm currently packing away Beanie Babies.

They just seem to look up at you, as if to say, "Why? Don't you love us anymore?"

Am I crazy?

It's just not fair

I absolutely hate making my bed.

Sleeping in a made up bed is very wonderful, but it takes way too much effort.

It will also get messy the next day though, so it kind of defeats the purpose of putting effort into it.

I could just not make my bed and go to sleep anyhow.

It's a vicious cycle.

I explained this to a friend of mine.  He had a different view on it:

mATT (at school) says:
Make that shit in the morning
Becca says:
It's a vicious cycle
mATT (at school) says:
Then you come home to a wonderful bed
mATT (at school) says:
but yes; it is vicious
Becca says:
but.. it'll get messy
mATT (at school) says:
Yeah but you'll eventually die but that doesn't mean you shouldn't live

Needless to say, I am posting this from a nice neat bed. Maybe I'll even make my bed in the morning too.
Also, the new Smothered in Hugs album is fantastic. Here's a clip! http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=5NX2c4vsfKU

Money Came Through - Smothered in Hugs

Om nom nom

I just made myself a bagel sammich.

This sammich consisted of a bagel cut in half, a fried egg, two strips of leftover bacon, a cheese slice and mayo. Oh my, it was good.

I should've taken pictures.

Here's where you folks come in. Anyone have simple recipes for quick, easy and filling, but also tasty meals? Especially for breakfast. I'm always in a rush out the door, so something easy to make would be ideal!

Suggestions! Yes please!

Oh, and six days until Bloc Party. Five days until Windom Earle + Halifax. Eee!

Come On! Feel the Illinoise!

Oh, hi.

It's always a while between updates, but it's not like I have anything too exciting to say, I suppose.

School has finally ended. The last month or so was just ridiculously stressful. I got through it, hopefully without failing anything. I didn't do so well on my bio paper, nor my english one. I'm not so good at the whole research paper business. I guess I had better learn though, otherwise I'm in trouble.
The school year was so busy. I met tons of neat people and attended a lot of great shows. That's about it really. I finally quit Dairy Queen. I worked there for four years. It was kind of sad when I was cleaning out my locker. I really didn't mind working there, even after four years. I got a new job at Online Support, which I started training for a few days ago. It seems like it'll be a really neat place to work. I love talking to people so I think It'll be ideal for me. I guess we'll see how that goes. Broken iPod? I'm yer laaaaady.

Hmm. So Summer break has started. I'm working full time, and am going to Ottawa on a youth sport conference mid-may. It's only for a few days, but it'll be a fun time, for sure. I also plan on doing the red island relay at the end of May. Those are my biggest plans. It would be super neat to hit up the Evolve festival in Antigonish. It seems like it would be such a blaaaast. I'm just excited to go camping, to the beach, and to slather the sunscreen on like it's going out of style.

I've been listening to a lot of Feist lately. She'll be playing in Charlottetown in November. Tickets are like sixty bucks buuuut I think It would be worth it. Also been listening to The Death Set and Wintersleep since last November. It rules.
And now, I leave you with this.

Negative Thinking - The Death Set

My cat curled up beside me, and I noticed she had a little pink happy face sticker stuck to the bottom of one of her back feet.
I tried to take it off, and she ran away. She keeps coming back to lay down beside me though, so every time she lays down, I try and peel it off again (and she runs again). I'm just cracking up over it.

       This is the offending sticker:

Cats are awesome. I certainly hope everyone else appreciates them as much as I do.

In other news, I didn't think the eclipse was all that great. Just Sayin'
